Regal Manchester Terriers - where a well-balanced dog has a title at both ends!
Welcome to Regal, the home of Champion performance-titled Toy Manchester Terriers. Manchester Terriers are a sound and versatile breed, and excel at dog sports – Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Rally, Nosework, Tricks – these guys can do it all!
Over the last decade, I've co-owned and co-bred some outstanding dogs with Michelle Barlak of Maxmial Toy Manchester Terriers. You can learn about these and her other dogs here.
I selected the Manchester Terrier for performance work based on the breed’s athletic build, active personality, and low incidence of health problems. I acquired my first Manchester, Speed Racer, in 2002, and wasn’t disappointed. Speedy quickly finished his breed Championship owner-handled from the puppy classes, and had an outstanding year shown occasionally as a Special while training in Obedience and Agility. We were working on his MACH (Master Agility Championship) when a back injury prematurely ended his agility career. He was also unable to finish his UD in Obedience due to jumping problems stemming from the back injury.
My second Manchester, a little female named Carlee, didn’t disappoint me either. Carlee came to me as an adult dog with no formal training, and quickly finished her breed Championship with two specialty majors. She loved Agility, and racked up titles while also working in Obedience and Rally. Unfortunately, Carlee was diagnosed with heritable cataracts in 2006, and had be be removed from my breeding program. She competed in Agility until her untimely passing, and was working on both her MACH2 and ATCH at the time of her death.
In addition to Toy Manchester Terriers, I have always shared my life with a Doberman or two. Read about their accomplishments on their individual pages.
My dogs are fully health tested (results available under each dog’s page), and all puppies come with a comprehensive written guarantee. While no breed is perfect, I stand behind my dogs 100%, and strive to produce healthy, show-quality dogs with excellent working temperaments.
