Speedy's Accomplishments
Obedience and Rally:
Speedy took first place in Veterans Obedience at the American Manchester Terrier Club National Specialty Obedience Trial on 3/24/11 with a 192!
Speedy was the American Manchester Terrier Club's Top Obedience Dog in Open for 2008. Speedy was ranked by Front & Finish Magazine as the #1 Manchester Terrier in AKC Obedience by the 2008 First & Foremost Rating System, and as the #2 Manchester Terrier by the 2008 Delaney Rating System.
After a break from the obedience ring while I healed from shoulder surgery, Speedy was very excited to be back. Just for fun, I entered him in Graduate Novice at the Cocker Spaniel Club of Western PA All-Breed Obedience Trial on 6/26/09, and he won the class with a 184 1/2. He also took second place in Veterans Obedience that day with a 184.
Speedy earned two CDX legs his first two times in the Open A ring! At the Nita Nee Kennel Club Obedience Trial on 7/18/08, he won the class with a 190, and on 7/19/08, he placed second with a 180 1/2. He finished his CDX at the Kennel Club of Niagara Falls Obedience Trial 2 on 9/11/08 with a second place. On 9/12/08, he earned two bonus CDX legs at the Kennel Club of Niagara Falls Obedience Trials 3 and 4 with two first places.
Speedy was HIGH IN TRIAL at the Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg All-Breed UKC Obedience Trial 1 on Sunday, 3/4/07 with a 195 1/2 from the Novice B class! He earned his UCD title that weekend with scores of 190 1/2, 195 1/2, and 196 1/2.
Speedy made breed history when he became the first Manchester Terrier of either variety to earn an AKC Rally title. He earned his first two RN legs at the Orange Empire Dog Club shows on 1/29 - 1/30/05 with scores of 85 and 93, and his third RN leg at the Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club Trial on 2/12/05 with a score of 97. He also earned his Rally Advanced (RA) title with scores of 86, 89, and 97 (4th place), and his Rally Excellent (RE) title with scores of 89 (2nd place), 100 (1st place), and 93. Speedy earned his RAE in 10 straight trials, with many placements and scores in the high 90's, and two perfect scores of 100!
Speedy was ranked #3 in Novice Obedience for Toy Manchester Terriers in 2003 by Front & Finish Magazine. In 2007, Speedy was the #1 Toy Manchester Terrier in both the AKC Rally Advanced B and Excellent B rankings, and #1 overall in the combined Excellent A/B rankings.
Speedy earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certificate at the Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club Trial on 4/4/03, and his ATTS Temperament Test (TT) Certificate at the Golden State Rottweiler Fanciers Test on 6/11/05.
